Mississippi number 1 ranked Madison Central High 15–0 won their 15th game in a row Monday; defeating St. Joseph Catholic 8–4 at home 9–1. The victory is the 21st in a row as the Jaguars won their last 6 games when the 2020 season was ended by the COIVD pandemic. Madison Central scored a run in all six innings; 2 in the second and 3 in the fourth. The Bruins scored their lone run the fourth inning.

Madison pitchers have given up only 18 runs this season and have 6 shut outs this season. The Jaguars are outscoring opponents by 10 runs per game this season and play at Murrah High 4–2 today starting at 6pm.

In other top Mississippi high school baseball:

#2 ranked Jackson Preparatory 21–2 won their 11th in arow Tuesday shutting out Madison-Ridgeland Academy 7–0 for first place in the Class 5A District 1. The two teams face each other again on Friday starting at 4:30.

Top 10 ranked Pearl River 16–1 has won their last 14 in a row and are 3–0 in the 5A Region 7. The Blue Devils beat Hattiesburg 5–4 at home Tuesday and play them again today at Hattiesburg 9–5 starting at 7pm.

#3 Hatfield Academy has won 10 in a row after dropping the season opener in extra innings to Jackson Prep. 2–1. Hawks pitchers have thrown 6 shut outs so far this season. Next game is April 13th at Hillcrest Academy 3–8 starting at 6:30pm.
